About
I treat acting like a long apprenticeship — and the role finds the one still working when others stop.
Kommi Venkatesh Chowdary — actor from Hyderabad. Trained as an actor at the Annapurna College of Film & Media, with theatre workshops at Samahaara and modelling training at the Hyderabad Models Institute. I work across short films, stage plays and monologues, and I am part of the cast on Dulquer Salmaan's 41st film. My approach is unglamorous on purpose. I learn a character's walk before I learn his lines. I sit with his silence before I touch his speech. When the camera rolls, I am not performing — I am simply being seen at the work I have already done.
